On Holly McClane's (Bonnie Bedelia) plane, you might've noticed that the in-flight entertainment is an episode of The Simpsons - the show's fourth-ever episode, "There's No Disgrace Like Home," which actually aired while Die Hard 2 was shooting.
Given that both The Simpsons and Die Hard were produced by Fox, a little cross-branding made all the sense in the world.
But what you might not have noticed about this is that the episode revolves around the Simpsons amusingly using shock therapy on one another, which foreshadows Holly using a taser to shock douchebag reporter Richard Thornburg (William Atherton) later in the film.
