4. John McClane's Iconic Catchphrase Was Almost A Little Different

No single line of dialogue in the movie is more iconic than John telling Hans, "Yippie-ki-yay, motherf***er," a quote that's been recalled in every single Die Hard sequel and has endured as a pop-culture staple for over three decades.

But the line was almost a little different, as John McTiernan felt that the line should actually be, "Yippie-ty-yay." Willis argued for his version, and so they ended up shooting both, allowing the director to pick the best one during editing.

Clearly, Willis won out, and an indelible movie quote was born. Would it still have become an iconic catchphrase if it sounded slightly different? We'll never know.
