At the end of the movie, Nick learns that Amy is pregnant with his child, and after being taunted by Amy violently pushes her against a wall.
Though intense scenes such as this are extensively choreographed for maximum safety, Rosamund Pike nevertheless almost ended up with a concussion, largely due to Fincher's famed preference for many, many takes.
Pike said of her tough time shooting the scene, "I think around take eighteen of getting my head bashed against the wall, I literally saw stars."
The end result is certainly fantastically convincing, though would it have killed the production to line the wall with something a little softer? Sound editing can do wonders, after all.
