5. The Robbery Shootout Was Extremely Tough To Film

As much of a logistical nightmare as filming the ambitious robbery shootout must've been considering the sheer number of moving parts involved, Mann had to also deal with the added stress of only being able to shoot the scene on weekends.

As a result, Mann had to basically film segments of the shootout around the rest of the movie over a matter of weeks, even if you'd thankfully never sense a loss of momentum in the end product.

And for an extra fun fact, the gunfight reportedly expended between 800 and 1,000 rounds per take.
