20 Things You Didn't Know About Jaws 3D

10. Why, Yes, That IS Manimal, But It Was Almost David Warner

Even horror films of the weakest budget try to class the act up a little by throwing a little cash and a Kraft catered lunch for an old Hollywood star that they can name on the ads above the title, despite appearing for only a matter of minutes. By 1983, David Warner had that kind of traction for horror aficionados, playing the ill-fated photographer in Richard Donner's The Omen and Reverend Sloan in Sam Peckinpah's The Ballad of Cable Hogue. There was no question his reputation as a serious thespian was legitimate.

Alas, Warner declined the role of showboat shark-killer Phillip RitzRoyce, which went to Simon MacCorkindale. MacCorkindale is fondly (kind of) remembered for his work on the short run cult favourie TV series Manimal, in which he can transform into any animal he wants to fight crime.

Kenny Hedges is carbon-based. So I suppose a simple top 5 in no order will do: Halloween, Crimes and Misdemeanors, L.A. Confidential, Billy Liar, Blow Out He has his own website - thefilmreal.com - and is always looking for new writers with differing views to broaden the discussion.
