11. Dennis Quaid Was Coked Out Of His Mind
"I was in Jaws what?" is Dennis Quaid's typical response when someone brings the film to his attention. Anyone who has a fondness for the 80s remembers feathered hair, slasher movies, Reaganite America and cocaine. So, so very much cocaine.
Quaid claims he is high, pupils dilated and mind in oblivion, in every frame in which he appears. In a 2015 interview with Esquire, he claims he was at the height of his use while filming. There are reports from the set that unlike some users in the decade, Quaid actually had fun with it, pulling pranks like staging a fight with an extra to freak out the rest of the cast.
How he turned out to be the sane Quaid brother, the one who doesn't think he's being targeted by assassins and running up obscenely large hotel bills like his brother is still a mystery.
