20 Things You Didn't Know About Jaws 3D

7. It Was Lea Thompson's First Role

By 1985, Lea Thompson had star power, launching to fame as Michael J. Fox's creepy teen mother in Back to the Future. Two years previous, however, no one knew who she was. So she took the role of Kelly Ann Bukowski, Sean Brody's carefree girlfriend, in Jaws 3D.

In another movie, she'd be shark bait, but Bukowski has a near-miss with the creature during a climactic water-skiing scene, barely making it out alive.

She may have found success later, but also suffered future embarrassment when she had to copulate with a cartoon space duck in the George Lucas-produced Howard The Duck. T that also meant spending time with child porn enthusiast Jeffrey Jones, so maybe the shark wasn't the worst thing that ever happened to her career.
