20 Things You Didn't Know About JFK
12. The Sheen Connection
Martin Sheen vaguely looks like he could be a Kennedy, and it doesn't help that his signature role as President Jed Bartlett on The West Wing is closer to a more radical Kennedy than any other real-life president. As a result, Sheen played JFK in the 1983 mini-series Kennedy (pictued above), almost a decade before Oliver Stone's film. In JFK, he provides narration over the first ten minutes of Stone's film, and later acted in his son Emilio Estevez's film Bobby, about RFK's assassination.
He doesn't make an appearance in Stone's film, but he does provide the voice over narration over the opening ten minutes of the film.
We suppose that makes Charlie Sheen the Ted Kennedy of the family, with multiple Chappaquiddicks under his belt.
