20 Things You Didn't Know About Layer Cake

2. There's An Actual Layer Cake In The Final Scene

Layer Cake Daniel Craig

A seemingly obvious point yet one that's actually easily missed, even on repeat viewings.

The movie's title refers to the hierarchical structure of the British criminal underworld, yet the final scene at the country club actually goes one step further and includes a literal layer cake in the middle of the dining table where XXXX and company are eating.

You could probably break down the visual metaphor of the cake being sliced up and divided among the five men, but either way, it was just cute to see an actual layer cake in the damn movie.
