15. Near Dark And The Exorcist
Many Hollywood films have obvious links, that's nothing new - but some movies are tied to others in the most unexpected of ways, and Near Dark is no exception.
The character of Homer, the vampire child of the group, is played by Joshua John Miller, son of Jason Miller who of course played Father Damien Karras in The Exorcist. The other major vampire flick of 1987 was The Lost Boys and that film featured another character: Michael who, like Caleb in Near Dark, was on the verge of a full vampire transformation only to be saved in the nick of time.
Michael was played by Jason Patric - who is none other than Jason Miller's other son, and half brother to Joshua John Miller. One big happy horror family...
