10. Jenny McCarthy & Britney Spears Were Offered The Role Of Drew Decker
Unquestionably one of the most memorable scenes in the movie is the opening parody of Scream's own grisly introduction, with Drew Barrymore's hapless victim Casey Becker switched out for Carmen Electra's Drew Decker.
But before Electra took the part, it was first offered to Jenny McCarthy and Britney Spears, both of whom turned it down. However, McCarthy did appear in Scream 3 released earlier that year, and went on to appear in Scary Movie 3 in 2003.
As for Britney Spears, she continued to be offered roles in the series despite turning down the first movie, additionally saying no to the part of Megan Voorhees, the possessed young woman in the opening scene of Scary Movie 2, as was eventually played by Natasha Lyonne.
