20 Things You Didn't Know About Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

2. Adam Driver Recorded Some Dialogue In His House

The Star Wars franchise's long-tenured supervising sound editor Matthew Wood confirmed that some of Kylo Ren's dialogue in the film wasn't recorded on-set or in a professional recording studio, but in Adam Driver's own home.

Just a few weeks before the film's release, changes to the script required Driver to record a few new lines for his character, but with Driver's schedule being so busy, Wood ended up visiting the actor's Brooklyn home to capture the dialogue:

"The very last recording we did was, we had to change some lines of Kylo when he had his mask on... I went to [Driver's] house in Brooklyn... I ended up opening up one of his closets where he had all of his suits, and I just pushed the suits out of the way and said, 'Hang your head in here.'"

It's hilarious to picture Adam Driver ducking his head into his own closet and speaking as Kylo Ren, all while J.J. Abrams monitors the recording session via video call back in Los Angeles.

And yet, you'd be hard-pressed to identify the hastily recorded dialogue in the final cut of the movie.
