TMNT marked the Hollywood debut of an industry figure who would establish herself as a major talent in the 20 years that followed the film's release: editor Sally Menke.

Shortly after TMNT's release, Menke edited Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and went on to edit every single one of the filmmaker's movies thereafter until her untimely death in 2010.

Menke worked as a co-editor on TMNT, and though reports conflict about exactly what happened, Menke was reportedly removed from the project during post-production as production company Golden Harvest wasn't happy with her work.

Given that Menke edited Reservoir Dogs two years later and received an Oscar nomination for editing Pulp Fiction four years later, things clearly worked out for the best.
