In one of the film's most iconic scenes, Damien and his mother visit the Windsor Zoo to take a Zoofari in their car. Upon coming across the baboons, the animals' sixth sense kick in and they start to attack the car, surrounding it and pounding on the windows as mother and child scream in terror.

To get the baboons agitated, an official from the zoo was in the backseat of the car with the tribe's head, severely tranquilized. But it slowly started to wake up as the animals rioted outside, making actress Lee Remick's reactions authentic.

Rumours circulated that the zoo official had been killed, or several baboons had, but to date it's been ascribed to more curse PR.
