20 Things You Didn't Know About The Prestige

Christoper Nolan likes to work with a close circle of collaborators, from actors like Michael Caine and Tom Hardy, to his former longtime cinematographer, Wally Pfister. And these sort of close-knit relationships have been around since day one.

All the way back in the late 1990s - when he made short films like Doodlebug - Nolan started working with composer David Julyan, a skilled musician who then stuck with the director through every single one of his features from 1998 onwards (Batman Begins aside), with the two finally separating after their work on The Prestige.

Since The Prestige, Nolan's go-to composer has been Hans Zimmer, but Julyan hasn't exactly been down in the dumps the whole time. He's worked on some great movies like The Cabin In The Woods and Eden Lake - while also scoring both Descent films - and remains active to this very day.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
