7. Tim Curry Learned How To Apply His Own Makeup To Save Time
In addition to poor working conditions on set, the cast and crew were also massively pressured by time, with the shoot scheduled for a total of just five weeks.
As a result, the cast had to arrive to the studio early to get into makeup, and because Tim Curry's full makeup took a mind-boggling four hours to apply, the actor ended up learning how to do it himself.
On a shoot where every saved minute was a win, this was clearly extremely useful, and despite the stage show's reputation for after-hours partying, the vibe on set was reportedly decidedly more professional due to the constraints.
