5. Hugo Weaving Didn't Care About Voicing Megatron

In the years since he first voiced the character of Megatron, Hugo Weaving has expressed his disinterest in the franchise and the character, calling the role 'meaningless'.

Weaving told reporters that he did no prep for the role, not even reading the full script, just the lines he was required to say. In addition to this, he apparently never met Bay in person, only speaking to him over Skype. He had no idea what any of his lines meant.

Needless to say, the famously confrontational Bay was not pleased and wrote a blog post lambasting Weaving. Bay commented that Weaving was paid upwards of $200,000 for the role and should have been grateful he had a job that paid so much.

Unsurprisingly, Weaving did not return for the fourth installment and was replaced by original Megatron voice actor Frank Welker.
