8. Linda Hamilton Suffered Permanent Hearing Loss On The Set Of Terminator 2

For James Cameron's sequel to his 1984 classic, The Terminator, Linda Hamilton had to undergo a seriously brutal fitness program which lasted for thirteen weeks, in order to prepare for the legendary role of Sarah Connor. She also did a lot of judo and some heavy-duty military training. However, no amount of training could have prevented the actress from an on-set accident she suffered. Apparently, during the infamous hospital escape scene where young John Connor, Sarah and the T-800 are on the run from the T-1000, Hamilton fired a gun inside an elevator when she wasn€™t wearing ear plugs. She suffered permanent hearing damage in one ear as a result. As if that wasn't bad enough, Hamilton was also left with badly bruised and battered knees during one scene with Ken Gibbel. He refused to hit her properly with a club because he didn't want to hurt her, meaning it had to be re-shot several times, each take calling for her to drop to the ground. She got him back though. During the escape scene, she broke off a broom handle to hit him, with each blow the real deal. That's what you get for trying to be Mr Nice Guy, Gibbel.
