20 Things You May Have Missed In Creed

3. Sylvester Stallone's Historic Performance

Despite several naysayers, Sylvester Stallone is a brilliant actor when paired with the right material. The early Rocky entries, the Creed movies and Cop Land among other have demonstrated Stallone's range and depth as a thespian, and the first Creed in particular shows him at the top of his game.

This level of talent did not go unrecognized during the 2015/206 awards circuit, where Stallone managed to scoop up supporting acting trophies in award shows such as the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and the National Board of Review.

While he missed out on an Oscar win, Sly became the third actor in the award show's history to receive lead and supporting acting nods for playing the same role, placing him in the same category with Barry Fitzgerald and Robert de Niro.
