Given its quality, it is unsurprising that Logan received the best reviews of the X-Men cinematic saga. As of this article’s writing, it holds a 94% (and an average of 8 out of 10) on Rotten Tomatoes and a 77 on Metacritic, making it one of the highest rated superhero movies on the platform (just behind Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame, The Incredibles, and Into the Spider-Verse).

Logan was also a hit amongst fans, garnering an 8.1 out of 10 on IMDb, making it the highest rated X-Men-centric entry on the site. Aside from online ratings, it is only the second superhero film (after The Incredibles) to garner a screenplay Oscar nod and the only one so far to do it in the Adapted Screenplay category.

While Oscar nods and Rotten Tomatoes reviews are not always markers of quality, the rapturuous reception garnered by Wolvie's concluding story was well earned, especially given the effort put into it.
