18. Freddy Krueger's Sweater Is Hanging In Sidney's Dorm Room
You're probably aware that director Wes Craven had a cameo in the first Scream film as Woodsboro High School's janitor, who in addition to being named Fred also wore the distinctive striped jumper worn by Freddy Krueger in Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise.
Though Craven does make a cameo in Scream 2 also - we'll get to that later - the Elm Street reference in this film is a little more benign and, well, not a person.
Near the start of the film when Sidney (Neve Campbell) is talking to her roommate Hallie (Elise Neal) in her dorm room, keep your eyes peeled behind Hallie and you might notice Freddy Krueger's striped sweater hanging on one of the doors. Very sneaky, Wes.
