17. Screenwriter Kevin Williamson Cameos As The Current Edition Host
The parade of cameos continues while Sidney and Hallie are still hanging out in her dorm room.
The TV is airing an episode of Current Edition - a not-so-subtle parody of the TV show Inside Edition - where Cotton Weary (Liev Schreiber) is discussing being exonerated for the murder of Sidney's mother Maureen.
But the man interviewing Cotton isn't some random day-player - it's Kevin Williamson, the man responsible for writing the first, second, and fourth Scream movies, as well as creating TV shows Dawson's Creek, The Vampire Diaries, and The Following.
Surprisingly, this is the only Scream film to date where Williamson has made any sort of appearance.
