16. It Recycles Dinosaur Sound Effects From Jurassic Park

Give yourself a cookie if you caught this one, because you'll need to really be paying attention to what you're hearing.

When Jake is being chase by a Thanator early in the movie, listen closely and one of the animalistic sounds the creature makes might sound familiar. That's because it's lifted wholesale from the T-Rex in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park.

This isn't even an isolated case: when Jake is later learning to ride the Direhorse, it makes a "bark" noise that was originally used for the Velociraptors in Spielberg's groundbreaking blockbuster.

Obviously James Cameron and his Oscar-nominated sound team didn't just steal the sound effect without permission, but even so, it's interesting that a $237 million movie didn't come up with entirely original sounds. Homage or laziness? You decide.
