20 Things You Somehow Missed In Avatar

Shortly after Jake first test-drives his Avatar, he meets up with Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver) in her Avatar form, and as he inspects his neural braid, Grace jokingly tells him, "Don't play with that, you'll go blind."

It's a piece of incidental dialogue easily missed, but Grace's comment makes a lot more sense when we later learn that the braid is an important part of Na'vi mating rituals, given that Jake and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) connect their braids, forming a neural link, before having sex.

Within that context, Grace is clearly making a masturbation joke, given the old-timey myth that self-pleasure will cause boys to go blind.
