1. The 2015 DeLorean Has A Barcode License Plate

Though this is technically revealed at the end of the first film, it appears far more prominently in the second, so we're including it here.

In the 2015 timeline, the DeLorean has a distinct yet easily missed license plate: instead of the usual string of numbers and letters, the plate now contains an identifying barcode.

It's safe to assume that, in this future, the authorities could quickly scan a flying car's license plate to glean a ton of information about the vehicle and especially its owner.

Upon closer inspection the barcode also has a number below it, "136113966," and though everything in these movies appears to have been done with intention, fans still haven't categorically figured out what that number means.

The barcode may seem obvious, and yet within this futuristic world it isn't hard to gloss over it.
