20 Things You Somehow Missed In Back To The Future Part 3

11. Doc Named His Dogs After Scientists (Again)

Back to the Future Part 3
Universal

You might remember that Doc named his dogs Einstein and Copernicus - as in, after scientists Albert Einstein and Nicolaus Copernicus - in the original Back to the Future, and it's a naming convention that carried over into Part III.

In 1885, look closely around Doc's barn and you'll see name banners for Doc's "new" dogs, "Archimedes," "Galileo," and "Newton."

Fittingly, in the very first moments of the movie when we get a glimpse of Doc's fireplace in 1955, Doc has pictures of Isaac Newton, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, and Albert Einstein, confirming just how much these scientists and their achievements mean to him.
