Something sweet and wholesome to end on is a moment from the film's finale. With Gozer stopped and the world saved, Venkman and Dana share their first kiss in front of chanting Ghostbusters fans.

Whilst we know that their relationship goes south between the first and second films, there's an interesting theory based on just how exactly the exploded marshmallow has covered them. Dana's looks similar to wedding veil styles of the time and the only Stay Puft fluff on Venkman forms the perfect Kippah shape on the back of his head, Jewish headwear often worn for major celebrations.

It might be coincidence or it might be a sweet wink about a possible future of these characters.
