20 Things You Somehow Missed In Ghostbusters

17. The Magic Instrument Case

Ghostbusters Musician
Columbia Pictures

Venkman finally gets his date with Dana by speaking to her by the Lincoln Centre fountain after a rehearsal with her orchestra. Being who he is, Peter can’t help but make a few quips about Dana’s musician colleague who watches them from afar.

As Dana approaches her friend to leave, the man moves his instrument case from under his arm to his hand. However, when the shot flips to focus on them it’s back under his arm. As the scene briefly alternates from one shot to another, the location of the case moves up and down.

There aren’t that many distracting mistakes in Ghostbusters, especially from a continuity perspective, so this one really sticks out when you notice it.

Coming from a content creation background that now spans over two decades, Psy cut her teeth on personal video production and community radio. Originally joining the team as a writer and presenter, she added video editing duties to her responsibilities over time and became the longest-standing editor of the irreverent gaming show Tues Your Own Adventure. Psy has worked on many previews and reviews, long-form editorials (either her own, or supporting as an editor), as a frequent quizmaster and more. Praised for the two-pronged attack of her hard work ethic and light-hearted editing style, Psy is otherwise known as a font of retro video game knowledge which has caused her to rack up many quiz wins. Outside of WhatCulture, Psy runs First Aid Spray Podcast - a long-running channel that focuses on Resident Evil in all of it's forms.
