20 Things You Somehow Missed In Inglourious Basterds

5. The Basterds' Nazi Costumes Are Covered In Blood & Bullet Holes

When Hirschberg, Hugo Stiglitz (Til Schweiger), and Donowitz pose as Nazi soldiers and ambush three Nazis on a forest road, pumping them full of lead, keep a close eye on the backs of their jackets for the brief moment we see them.

The shadows cast across their backs make it difficult to spot without hitting the pause button, but the jackets actually have splashes of blood and even bullet-holes on them, because of course the Basterds appropriated the costumes by killing a prior group of Nazis.

It may seem obvious, yet the beat happens so quickly that it's incredibly easy to miss no matter how many times you might've seen the movie.
