20 Things You Somehow Missed In Inglourious Basterds

14. The Names Of Jewish People Are Written On Donny's Baseball Bat

This one's much easier to spot if you've seen the movie's more recent 4K release. We know that Donny "The Bear Jew" Donowitz (Eli Roth) wields a trusty baseball bat which he uses to bash in Nazis' brains, but did you notice what's written on it?

As a scrapped scene from Tarantino's original script reveals, Donowitz bought the baseball bat before shipping off to war and asked everyone in his Jewish Boston neighbourhood to sign the names of their loved ones in Europe who might be in danger.

It's also been claimed - albeit not verified - that Anne Frank's name is written on the bat somewhere.

The establishing scene reportedly appeared in the longer cut of the film that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, yet has never been released otherwise. Boo.
