12. The Man In White ISN'T Bill
The anime sequence depicting O-Ren Ishii's backstory is one of Volume 1's most distinctive scenes, and even 20 years later, there are those who believe that the pale man in a white suit who murders O-Ren's father is in fact a young Bill.
It didn't help of course that David Carradine himself suggested as such, no matter that Tarantino eventually came out and dismissed the theory.
In fact, the character goes by the name of Pretty Riki and was apparently killed by O-Ren in a longer version of the anime sequence that ultimately didn't make the cut.
Even so, many to this day simply believe that this man, who bears only the most vague visual resemblance to Bill, is in fact him. Nope.
