13. The Bride Intentionally Lowers Her Heart Rate At The Hospital
Back to the hospital now, when Buck enters the Bride's hospital room and shows her off to a trucker client (Jonathan Loughran) who has designs on her body.
We as the audience know that the Bride isn't really comatose at this point, though, and mere seconds before Buck and the trucker entered the room, her heart rate could be heard skyrocketing in sheer panic.
But just as she lies down and the pair enter, her heart rate quickly drops to a crawl, as one would surely expect from somebody in a coma.
The implication, then, is that one of the Bride's special skills involves lowering her heart rate at will. While human beings can train themselves to do this to an extent, the speed with which the Bride drops her heartbeat is almost certainly impossible in reality.
