20 Things You Somehow Missed In Kill Bill Volume 2
8. Only Three People Die On-Screen
It's a pretty natural expectation that a lot of people die in your typical Quentin Tarantino film, and while Kill Bill Volume 1 touts a body count running in the dozens - most of them during the House of Blue Leaves fight - Volume 2 kills off just a mere fraction of that.
Only three characters are killed on-screen in Volume 2 - Budd, Bill, and the Pai Mei in a flashback. More to the point, Beatrix only kills a single person, Bill, in Volume 2, and Bill himself isn't actually shown killing anyone, despite his reputation for being a ruthless murderer.
Given that Tarantino envisioned Volume 2 as more of a western compared to Volume 1's martial arts extravaganza, it's fitting that it opts for a slower, only sporadically violent vibe.
