This is another detail that should be totally obvious, and yet it's so incredibly easy to miss even if you're really paying attention.
Beatrix and Bill's daughter is identified only as B.B., and while it seems clear that these letters stand for something, we're never told what.
Except, if we're willing to read between the lines a little, we basically are. What could make more sense than B.B. simply referring to her parents, Bill + Beatrix?
Contextually Bill may have chosen the name as a secret tribute to his lover, no matter that he ordered her death and indeed believed her to be dead. Feelings are complicated, after all.
