20 Things You Somehow Missed In Mad Max: Fury Road

8. Immortan Joe Opens His Mouth ONCE

Mad Max Fury Road
Warner Bros.

For 99.9% of the movie, Immortan Joe's terrifying face mask is completely stationary and doesn't move when he speaks, but that changes for a single moment after the death of The Splendid Angharad.

As Joe is inspecting the aftermath of the accident and screaming out in anguish, his face mask's maw is actually wide open, seemingly conveying just how traumatised he is by what's happened.

If you look extra close, you can even see what appears to be a bloody red pair of dentures behind the mask's own false chompers.
