5. The Music Box From Mad Max 2
In one brief moment, Miller focuses on Toast the Knowing (Zoë Kravitz) as she winds a small toy music box.
If you haven't seen the earlier Mad Max films in some time, you might not appreciate that this is a nod to Mad Max 2, where Max (Mel Gibson) finds a music box, winds it, and later gives it to the Feral Kid (Emil Minty).
This prompted some fans to buy into the theory that the Max depicted in Fury Road is actually the Feral Kid as an adult, though even with the series' intentionally loose grasp on its own lore, that's a pretty big stretch.
