20 Things You Somehow Missed In Solo: A Star Wars Story

8. Mandalorian Armour

In a movie franchise as big as Star Wars, though there are precious few even in the same league, there will always be easter eggs and references to other parts of the shared universe. Some of these will be obvious, some will be the base of an entire movie, while some will fly completely under the radar never even spoken aloud.

These are often hidden in plain sight, in the background of a conversation or action piece that draws the focus, such as the details of Dryden Vos' office. In the middle of the room, there is a full set of Mandalorian armour on display, and though many won't have noticed, as soon as you know it's there you start asking questions.

Why in particular would Dryden Vos, a man with no obvious or known connections with Mandalore have such armour on show? The movie came out well over a year before the debut of The Mandalorian on Disney+, so it's unlikely to be a nod to Din Djarin, but what if it was a nod to arguably one of the more surprising reveals of the entire movie?

Fans of The Clone Wars have known for some time that Darth Maul didn't die at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi, but the majority of mainstream audiences would have had no idea. Fans of the show also would remember that a big part of the Sith Lord's arc saw him complete a successful hostile takeover of Mandalore itself. Could this armour have been a nod to the man Vos answered to only for those die-hard fans who would really know what it could mean?
