20 Things You Somehow Missed In Solo: A Star Wars Story
6. Dryden Vos' Scars
For almost a decade, Paul Bettany has portrayed Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it's fair to assume that in that span he has become accustomed to the use of prosthetics and CGI while shooting for the Avengers movies.
For Solo, based on the scars that are the feature of Dryden Vos' face, you'd be forgiven for assuming that this was a similar process. However, that's not quite true, as the actor who brought the character to life wasn't even aware the scars would be there until after shooting had wrapped.
Instead, he simply found out about his character's true appearance when Ron Howard sent him a picture after the fact, but there is a good reason for the scars being added via CGI rather than with practical effects.
It's easy to miss, but they actually grew more inflamed and pronounced when Vos became angrier and more emotional, something that had happened rather often in the company of Han and Beckett.
