20 Things You Somehow Missed In Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones
13. The Subtle Foreshadowing Of Order 66
Despite seemingly taking the side of good during the opening stages and majority of the Clone Wars as a whole, fans were always well aware that the Jango Fett duplicates were destined to stab their Jedi allies in the back in the end.
And in an attempt to subtly foreshadow that inevitable plunging-in of the knife, George Lucas laced many a subtle detail into the Clones' first showing on the live action stage that hinted towards their incoming fate.
First opting to introduce the substantial number of Clone troops available to the Republic on Kamino to the sound of the Trade Federation march, this use of music that had accompanied the villainous forces last time out immediately suggested a dark future for the white-armoured warriors. And the same could be said of the use of the Imperial March in the film's closing stages, too.
And the fact the Clones are seen charging from right to left, instead of the more widely accepted heroic cinematic direction of left to right, when duking it out with the droids on Geonosis also subtly alludes to these lads being bad news later down the road.
