20 Things You Somehow Missed In Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith

9. Hayden Christensen Packed On The Weight For Anakin

Speaking of Hayden Christensen being put through the wringer when artificially breathing some life into Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Revenge of the Sith, it wasn't simply a case of the disturbed Jedi actor rocking back up to set in the same physical form he had for Attack of the Clones when the time came to shoot this Prequel-closer.

With Lucas wanting Christensen to resemble more of an intimidating force throughout the third Episode, the actor was tasked with piling on some pounds and bulking up for his return. And after putting away a reported six meals a day in the lead-up to shooting, Hayden was said to have piled on a whopping 24 pounds by the time he hulked up on the big screen in 2005.

It often goes overlooked just how jacked Christensen genuinely got for his final Prequel showing, and this shift from 160lbs to 185 lbs no doubt aided him during those aforementioned heavy Vader sequences, too.

And far from shying away from the physical aspect of the role of Vader/Skywalker for his Obi-Wan Kenobi comeback, Christensen was again said to have put on a staggering 25-30lbs in order to full fill out his menacing costume.
