20 Things You Somehow Missed In Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith
8. More Visual Effects Shots Than Any Other Prequel
As already touched upon a number of times in this collection of Episode III things you may not have initially caught, George Lucas most definitely doubled down on his love of all things computer generated when it came to blasting his Prequel adventures into hyper-space.
And while The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones were clearly not lacking in the CGI and VFX department, coming in with a jaw-dropping 1,950 and 2,200 visual effects shots on-screen, respectively, Revenge of the Sith took things to another level entirely in 2005.
Boasting a frankly insane 2,400 visual effects shots throughout, it's often forgotten that Episode III easily sits as the most effect-heavy flick in Lucas' back catalogue, absolutely blowing the more humble 360 uses of visual effects seen in A New Hope back in 1977 out of the VFX waters.
And according to visual effects supervisor John Knoll, even The Force Awakens only came in with just under 2,000 visual effects shots.
