20 Things You Somehow Missed In Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith
19. A Foreshadowy Goodbye
Clearly relishing the opportunity to hint at the inevitable fate fans already knew was on the horizon for the likes of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi throughout his Prequel set of features, George Lucas was at it again when it came time for the apprentice to bid farewell to his master before they went their separate ways early on in Episode III.

Kenobi's "Goodbye, old friend" had long acted as a rather significant beat in its own right, too, with it pretty much being the last words the Jedi legend would utter to his padawan before he finally crossed over into the darkness.
And the development of Kenobi later building on this fateful farewell with his heart-wrenching "Goodbye, Darth" after their climactic rematch of the century in Obi-Wan Kenobi has only made this scene that little more impactful as time has gone by.
