20 Things You Somehow Missed In Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi

17. Only Main Star Wars Movie Not To Feature A Skywalker In Its Closing Scene

Without question one of the most hopeful and inspiring scenes to pop up in the sequel trilogy, Rian Johnson decided to end The Last Jedi with the shot of a young stablehand using the Force to get his hands on a broom and looking out at the massive galaxy in front of him after hearing the tale of Luke Skywalker.

This was actually a pretty significant moment in Star Wars movie history, though.

Episode VIII's uplifting conclusion surprisingly marked the first and only time a Skywalker Saga feature ended on a moment that didn't involve one of the members of that titular family.

In fact, even Rogue One closed out with a shot of Princess Leia Organa, with The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story being the only two movies set in the galaxy far, far away that ended with a moment involving someone who doesn't belong to the Skywalker clan.
