20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Big Lebowski
10. A Folksy Cameo
One of the most well-known indie artists of the late '90s was none other than Aimee Mann. No doubt big fans of hers, the Coens leapt at the opportunity to give her a small part in their film. She can be seen in the diner scene playing one of the Nihilists (the nine-toed one, to be precise).
Aimee Mann, like earlier cameo Charlie Kaufman, was on the brink of a real breakout when she appears in The Big Lebowski. The year after the movie was released, Mann provided the soundtrack for then-up-and-comer Paul Thomas Anderson's sophomore film Magnolia. The rest was history for her.
