20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Big Lebowski
8. Jeff Bridges, Outfit Repeater
Jeff Bridges initially took the role of Lebowski because he felt like the character was incredibly similar to the laid-back kind of person Bridges was in the 1970s. Naturally, to help fill the role he felt was simply an extension of his former self, Bridges felt like it might be good to bring in much of his own clothing to the part.
This is obvious when Bridges wears a baseball tee that can also be seen in one of his earlier performances: Terry Gilliam's 1991 film The Fisher King. Many of the clothing seen in the film is still worn by Bridges to this day, including the iconic slippers and even that legendary cardigan.
