20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Shawshank Redemption

2. You've Definitely Seen These Guys Before

Shawshank Redemption

Have you ever noticed that Frank Darabont's Stephen King adaptations always seem to use (and reuse) the same group of character actors? If you've seen his follow-up to The Shawshank Redemption, 1999's The Green Mile, or his third King outing, 2007's The Mist, you might look at this first entry in his trilogy of King adaptations and recognize a few familiar faces without knowing exactly where you've seen them before.

Jeffrey DeMunn, who plays the D.A. in 1946, can also be seen in both The Green Mile and The Mist. The same goes for William Sadler (who plays Heywood) and Brian Libby (who plays Floyd).

Then there's Mack Miles, who plays Tyrell in Shawshank and appears in The Green Mile as an orderly named Hector.
