20 Things You Somehow Missed In X-Men
5. Cameo: Screenwriter David Hayter
Though you'd generally be forgiven for not noticing a screenwriter making a cameo appearance in their own movie, in the case of X-Men, things are a little different.
The film was actually written by none other than David Hayter, the man better known for providing the voice of Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid video game franchise.
Due to his relatively high profile over the years - for a voiceover artist, anyway - his face is immediately recognisable to Metal Gear fans, and so it's mildly shocking to see him show up as an NYPD cop in one of the film's final scenes.
Granted just about nobody expected to see Solid freakin' Snake himself show up in an X-Men film, so you shouldn't feel bad for missing it.
