20 Upcoming Movies That Might Be Surprisingly Good

As history has proven time and time again, belated comedy sequels are extremely tough to pull off, because even if the cast and crew are all game, it's tricky to recreate the magic of that glorious first go-around.

And while some may well expect The Devil Wears Prada 2 to be yet another comedy sequel that's just coming too damn late for its own good, this honestly has more going for it than most of its ilk.

For one, virtually every major cast member is back, and the teaser trailer makes it clear - as if we even needed clarification - that Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway still make for a terrifically engaging pair.

Furthermore, original director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna are both returning, and the sequel is also based on an existing novel from original author Lauren Weisberger, rather than being a desperate new idea plucked out of thin air.

Basically, it feels like this will probably be more of a Freakier Friday than a Zoolander 2.
