8. All Of Eternal Sunshine Is Practical Effects

Michel Gondry's exploration of relationships and memory doesn't seem like it's particularly complex on paper, but it has some next visual effects in there. And because the French director's a creative nutball, they're all done in-camera: so Jim Carrey's Joel being tiny and under a kitchen table whilst Kate Winslet's Clementine towers above him used forced perspective and huge props. Meanwhile, the bit where Joel walks through collapsing memories and sees himself talking to Tom Wilkinson's doctor involved lots of moving sets and Carrey quickly switching outfits. All of which was apparently super stressful and lead to the actor yelling at Gondry a lot.
