13. Androids And Milk

Ridley Scott and James Cameron were both committed to using similarly icky effects for the android deaths in their respective alien films. In Scott's original the demise of Ian Holm's Ash opted to use coloured water for his milky blood, with spaghetti and more viscera from the butchers used for his robotic guts. Meanwhile in Aliens, Lance Henriksen as Bishop had to contend with actual milk and yoghurt being used for the goo he spat out. Eventually the poor bugger contracted food poisoning, since both had spoilt under the heat of the studio lights.
